Pachelbel: Beyond the Canon

We all know Pachelbel’s Canon in D, the ubiquitous ground heard at weddings and in shopping malls, but what do we know about his other works? “Pachelbel: Beyond the Canon” explores the composer’s rarely performed pieces, which are even more compelling and beautiful than the piece for which he is known. Repast is joined by violinist Theresa Salomon in a concert showcasing the uniquely lush sounds of Pachelbel alongside the works of his contemporaries Buxtehude and Bertali.
